Clean Construction and Demolition Debris (CCDD)

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) has instituted new Clean Construction and Demolition Debris (CCDD) regulations which affect the disposal of debris from construction sites.

Clean construction or demolition debris (CCDD) is uncontaminated broken concrete without protruding metal bars, bricks, rock, stone, reclaimed or other asphalt pavement, or soil generated from construction/demolition activities.

Gabriel can help you stay in compliance with CCDD regulations and keep your project running smoothly

With Gabriel’s extensive knowledge of sampling procedures and rules, we can provide you with all of the necessary services to comply with the CCDD requirements:

  • Collect the required samples at the site of origin
  • Our trained field technicians know Illinois EPA’s sampling regulations well and have the necessary equipment to properly collect representative samples.
  • Complete all necessary analysis at our NELAC-certified laboratory
  • Gabriel’s lab staff is well trained in TACO and U.S. EPA requirements, and our analysis is performed to comply with all necessary regulations. Our lab is accredited by the State of Illinois, as required by CCDD regulations.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification that the soil is uncontaminated

CCDD regulations require a P.E. certification stating the soil is not contaminated, if the site of origin is commercial and/or industrial. We can obtain the necessary historical background, coupled with an evaluation of the laboratory data so that the LPC-663 form will be properly completed.
