Hazardous Waste

If you generate or suspect you have hazardous waste on your site, you could be at risk to face liability and legal issues. That’s why you need a reliable, experienced resource to eliminate hazardous waste in the most expedient, safe and thorough manner.

We start with a complete assessment and analysis of the waste, including the completion of EPA and state regulatory compliance documentation.

From there, we determine a plan of action that includes:

  • Profiling and obtaining disposal approval for your material into an approved TSDF (Transfer, Storage and Disposal Facility).
  • Excavating, containerizing and transporting the material.
  • Help with preparation of any required reports to document the disposal of the waste.
  • Leachate Fixation and Testing
  • Process Design for Treatment and/or Volume Reduction
  • Obtaining Permits
  • Reporting
    • Tier I / Tier II-The Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA) requires an emergency and hazardous chemical inventory form (Tier I or Tier II) submitted by March 1st each year to local and state agencies.
    • Form R / Form A-Either Form R or Form A for the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) must be submitted by July 1st each year.
  • Recovery and Reuse of Waste Materials

Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans
The EPA requires that all manufacturing plants have an SPCC plan in effect in case of a hazardous waste spill, as well as an operator on-call 24 hours a day in case of emergency. Over the last 35 years, Gabriel has prepared hundreds of SPCC plans for our clients, which have often saved lives and prevented property damage.

Plant and Site Audits
An annual or biannual site audit is recommended to ensure the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste. Your employees’ health and safety are at risk if hazardous waste is incorrectly handled, and your company is at risk for fines, penalties, or lawsuits should unsafe handling occur.

Treatment Evaluations
Gabriel understands the importance of keeping expenses low, so our staff is trained to perform evaluations of your treatment systems, looking for ways to make it more efficient, more cost-effective, and easier for you to run.
