Site Remediation Program
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s (IEPA) Site Remediation Program (SRP) is a voluntary cleanup program open to all non-petroleum contaminated sites.
Remediation Applicants take part in this program in order to obtain review and evaluation services from the IEPA with the goal being the receipt of a No Further Remediation (NFR) letter from the agency. The site is then considered a closed, or safe, site.
How Gabriel can help you with the Site Remediation Program
Working with the IEPA, Gabriel’s remediation experts are often able to close a site without full remediation—saving you time and money. We’ve obtained hundreds of NFRs for our clients. With a thorough understanding of today’s TACO regulations, we’ll help you obtain a formal closure that doesn’t necessarily require soil remediation or removal.
Should active site remediation prove to be necessary or advantageous, Gabriel can assist with all aspects of the process, including:
- Site sampling/testing
- Soil excavation/ haulage/ disposal
- Closure sampling
- IEPA reporting following cleanup
